Arts Challege- Week breakdown and focus Open to Year 8 and 9 Students
WHAT IS THE HOLYPORT COLLEGE ARTS CHALLENGE ?
WHAT IS THE HOLYPORT COLLEGE ARTS CHALLENGE ?
A two Part art and design enrichment opportunity for independent learning, research and experimentation.
Students will be asked to build a Portfolio and develop skills from one of the nine pathways that interests them: -Branding -Web design-Product Design-Interior Design -Animation-Fine Art-Textiles-Photography-Illustration-Digital Art-Manga Art -Set and Prop Design
They will need to show evidence of all 10 sections of the AWARD but are guided through all these stages via the Art Department website and via teacher and art mentor support:
PART 1- Practical Skills Development1.1 RESEARCH AND DEVELOP1.2 EXPLORE AND RECORD IDEAS 1.3 REFINE IDEAS1.4 PRESENT A PROTOTYPE OR FINAL PIECE1.5 PROMOTE AND EVALUATE
PART 2 - Personal Development2.1 Holyport Alumni Research 2.2. Skills development workshops 2.3 Higher Education Pathways 2.4 Career Research2.5 Giving something back to the community

WHY DO IT?
By the end you will gain a certificate, badge and medal for your efforts, along with an ARTS 'Holyportian' for your house. We will also showcase your work on the Art website.
